Bio - Who?

Dear Guest,

My name is Sagi Andersen, I grew up in Denmark and I have a background in Psychology. Ever since my mind was first cracked open by psychedelics about 6 years ago, my path has revolved around the big questions of consciousness. The biggest challenge on this path was and still is finding my own way of consciousness. That is, finding my way of understanding, navigating, cultivating and working with consciousness in the vast and bewildering sea of ways produced by history.

Across this sea I have explored ways of personal development, rationality, psychotherapy, spirituality and even magic, always striving to form an image of how they align and where they diverge, just like the branches of a tree diverging from a single unifying stem. I hoped that as my image of this tree became clearer, so would my own way within it. This search for clarity led me to write my thesis “On the Universal Meaning and Significance of Spirituality”, my first official attempt at painting the tree of ways. This process further opened my eyes to the immensity of this territory and helped me realize that if I wanted to attain real clarity to the image I was trying to paint, then I would have to 1. devote my life to the journey, 2. share it with others, and 3. pursue it for more than the sake of finding my own way.

These realizations led me to create Ways of Consciousness here online, where I intend to continue on a potentially lifelong journey, to share that journey with you, and to support you, myself and our shared world toward brighter and more evolved ways of consciousness. So, if you have anything on your mind related to Ways of Consciousness, then please don’t hesitate to reach out and let’s see where it takes us. I am here to share the way.

My blessings on your way,

Sagi Andersen

Purpose - What?

The Individual Way
The core purpose of Ways of Consciousness is to help guide each other on our ways of consciousness. That is our way of understanding, navigating, cultivating and working with consciousness, or what some would call our spirituality.

The Collective Way
Beyond supporting each other on the personal level, Ways of Consciousness also aims to create guidance on the cultural level. This means supporting communities and institutions in developing their ways of consciousness, in pursuit of a more spiritually advanced society.

Motivation - Why?

There are three primary motivations for Ways of Consciousness. There is my personal motivation, the motivation to heal the crises facing humanity and actualizing higher potentials of individual and collective consciousness.

Personal Motivation
As you can read more extensively in my bio, my adult life has revolved around exploring ways of consciousness, and I am now deeply motivated to share the journey with the world in a way that can be of service for others.

Healing Crises
Humanity is facing more than one big crisis, including the mental health crisis, the meaning crisis and the climate crisis. All of these crises have roots in human consciousness and can therefore be addressed by better ways of consciousness among other ways.

Realizing Potential
History has provided us with examples of highly realized individuals and cultures in the realm of consciousness and science is now beginning to reveal the extraordinary effects of such realizations with objective measures. We cannot yet dream of how far we might advance if we invest as much in our ways of consciousness as we have in our ways of technology. I am for one motivated to find out!

Approach - How?

The approach of Ways of Consciousness is based on a series of guiding questions surrounding the nature of consciousness ánd how we might make our way with it.

Theoretical Questions

1. Holistic Perspective – How do history’s many ways of consciousness align and diverge from one another?

2. Universal Perspective – How can we reconcile the many ways of consciousness under a universal understanding?

3. First Principles Perspective – What are the most significant first principles among the many ways of consciousness?

Practical Questions

1. Teaching – How to teach Ways of Consciousness?

2. Social Integration – How to integrate ways of consciousness into the fabric of society?

3. Personal Integration – How to integrate ways of consciousness into our personal lives?

The pursuit of these questions may manifest in many ways ahead including writing, video content, podcasting talks, workshops, courses, retreats, and collaborative projects of different kinds. I am excited to see where the journey takes us!
